Peaches and Cream

It’s not all peaches and cream

sometimes its squash pie and sugar free cool whip.
What does that mean besides I like desert? Well it means you don’t always get what you want, just like the rolling Stones song from the 1960’s.

I wanted a 2015 Ram 1500 pickup truck, but I am driving a 2003 Chevy Blazzer. My aim was to be able to retire when I was of age, but looks like work until age 75 at this rate, so you can see what we get is not always what we want, however that doesn’t mean that it isn’t as good.
I have a friend that thinks her life isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. She is down all the time and it seems that she would rather be a “Debbie Downer” than a happy person, and she gets upset when she can’t make you miserable with her you can actually see it in her attitude.

Now myself on the other hand, I try to find the happy medium and make the best of what I am given, now does that mean I am happy all the time . . . No, but I do my best, I am a firm believer in if you don’t sweat the small stuff the bigger stuff in life won’t hurt as bad when it slaps you in the face with its evil dose of reality.

Not sure where I was going with this entry, except to sort of vent about “Debbie Downer” and to state the obvious that life isn’t all about getting exactly what we want all the time and that what we want, need and desire also helps define the person we become and who we attract as friends, lovers, companions and co-workers and I have learned that if we are happy with ourselves than we will be happier to be around and less likely be like “Debbie Downer”.
Thanks for your indulgence

Super Megafest 2014

So one of the reasons I have been absent from the blog is the end of November is a busy time for me, I know I should have done some stuff a head of time but that is kind of like phoning it in.
So one of the events that was going on in the last two weeks was a Fan/Comic Convention calles Super MegaFest, no way near as large as Comic-Con, but no less the fun and fan fare.
The guests this year were Lee Majors the star of the 6 million dollar man, Fall Guy and Big Valley. Lindsey Wagner star of the Bionic woman and Warehouse 13, Jamie Kennedy and the list of celebrities goes on so I will just have to show you.

They had some great Cosplay folks dressed as comic characters, TV, movie characters, a Few United States Marines were there collecting donations for a Christmas charity know as Toys for Tots, instead of giving you a rundown I have taken the liberty of posting some photos below.
On last thing this year there were 3 of us that went together and our task was to have our photo taken by 3 different predetermined (just to make it harder) super heroes
I would say this was a success
and I accepted a challenge to get my photo with a Doctor Who that was the most original it could be.
Every year I am tasked to get as many photos of costumed crusaders and myself, it has become something of a game that has turned into something bigger than it ever should have to the point that I am getting requests, and believe me when I say my friends do some funny things with the photos, so it is a joke that goes on all year, one idea is to do a Calendar, I have not ruled that out yet either.
It was a great time, even if you just went to people watch it was a grand time indeed.

See you next time on the Cosmic Mish-Mash
