It’s not all
peaches and cream
sometimes its squash pie and sugar free cool whip. What does that mean besides I like desert? Well it means you don’t always get what you want, just like the rolling Stones song from the 1960’s.
I wanted a 2015 Ram 1500 pickup truck, but I
am driving a 2003 Chevy Blazzer. My aim was to be able to retire when I was of
age, but looks like work until age 75 at this rate, so you can see what we get
is not always what we want, however that doesn’t mean that it isn’t as good.
I have a friend that thinks her life isn’t all
it’s cracked up to be. She is down all the time and it seems that she would
rather be a “Debbie Downer” than a happy person, and she gets upset when she
can’t make you miserable with her you can actually see it in her attitude.
Now myself
on the other hand, I try to find the happy medium and make the best of what I
am given, now does that mean I am happy all the time . . . No, but I do my
best, I am a firm believer in if you don’t sweat the small stuff the bigger
stuff in life won’t hurt as bad when it slaps you in the face with its evil
dose of reality.
Not sure where I was going with this entry,
except to sort of vent about “Debbie Downer” and to state the obvious that life
isn’t all about getting exactly what we want all the time and that what we
want, need and desire also helps define the person we become and who we attract
as friends, lovers, companions and co-workers and I have learned that if we are
happy with ourselves than we will be happier to be around and less likely be
like “Debbie Downer”.
Thanks for
your indulgence
